Hey everyone!

This week was an awesome week! We found 5 new investigators! The offices missionaries almost never find that many people in one week! Elder Morales is really good about getting us out of the office to proselyte and it has been helping a lot. The office is basically a full time job, Mon-Fri 8-5, with exceptions of emergencies.

We were following up on a street contact and we found him at home. He agreed to let us in and meet with his kids, wife, and brother-in-law. We immediately felt prompted to talk about the Book of Mormon and we gave them two copies to share. It was an awesome lesson, and the spirit was so strong in that home. This family also lives in the nicer part of Lima, where it is harder to find people to teach, but I have learned the Lord prepares who He will prepare and it is our job to find them.

The most inspiration I took from this past general conference was from Elder Rasband. He talked about being a spiritual first responder. I can´t forget what he said, ¨If we let the Lord know in our morning prayers that we are ready, He will call on us to respond. If we respond, He will call on us time and time again.¨ I know this is a true statement. I have seen it in the mission, and I never even realized it until 2 days later. When we love and serve God, all things work together for our good.

Happy Holy Week!

This week I would like to start with how crazy good friday is here. everything was closed, even the hospital, so when i had to send a missionary there it was not a good thing. As health secretary i have begun to learn how to control my stress and alos how to appear more formal and polite. it is actually really hard, but i have noticed a real difference in myself and i know it is because of the Savior wanted to build me up.

I would like to share I call I got on the phone this week from a sick missionary. I think it was quite humorus.

¨Hey Elder MacGregor, it´s Elder ----------. So today we were doing service, and I put my hands inside a bag to pull out some tools. It turns out it was the wrong bag and instead there was a dead dog inside of it, and it´s stomach was open. So basically I put my hands inside a dog stomach, and now my hands are covered in blood. What do I do?¨

Just some of the normal health problems here in Perú.

Fun fact, the mission office is actually outside the mission boundaries, and so is my room, so right now i spend more time in the Lima east mission that my own mission. Secretaries always serve for 6 months, so the next 6 months I will be in the Lima east mission most of the time. I have one additional month in the MTC which is in the Lima central mission, outside of my mission boundaries.

When I complete 1 year in the mission this August, I will have 7 months outside my own mission and only 5 inside of it. I will have more time outside the mission than inside of it. Many Book of Mormon heroes traveled to foreign lands, and I guess in a way that is what I am doing.

I hope you are all taking advantage of this wonderful easter, and building your faith in the Savior. I have come to appreciate the scripture in 3 Nephi 11:
Behold my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, in whom I have glorified my name—hear ye him.
This was the moment when the Son completed His Atonement, and how the Father introduced Him to the Nephites. Imagine the joy of both the Father and the Son, to know that all mankind could now be saved and live with them again, if they were willing to repent.

I love my Savior, and I know that He loves me.

Hey everyone,

this week has been pretty exciting. Had to help and Elder in the hospital at 2 am. I guess that is what I signed up for when i said i wanted to be the health secretary.

Also I got another health call from an Elder who told me he had a parasite because he is grinding his teeth............ after realizing that makes no sense he was relieved to discover he did not have a parasite.

This week we as did room inspections for a zone in the mission. it was interesting to discover that the missionaries who had been out for a long time had the dirtiest rooms, while all the newbies had really clean rooms. you could also feel a change in the spirit when entering a room that had been cared for and loved. The same promise is extended to you. clean your room (a message to Grant).

This week I found an unusual spiritual lesson while at the office. sometimes we need to do what is unpopular to receive blessings. We made get made fun of by friends and even family, but we will still believe those blessings, because God always follows through. I experienced this first hand. The old health secretary left some pink crocs behind, and this week i wore them. Even though it was unpopular and my companion made fun of me, i received the blessings of extra comfort while working.

(note i only wear them when there is nobody in the office and it is a slow work day i dont wear them every single day i am careful with my blessings. i have only worn them once so far.)

Also i am in charge of the air conditioning and everyone always yelling at me. even as i write this sentence i am being yelled at to turn up the AC.

I love this wonderful work and my wonderful mission. I am called of God to be here in this place at this time.

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. He has calmed my troubled soul, born my afflictions, and paid for my poor decisions and sins. I invite you all to read the document we were invited to read this past general conference, The Living Christ. This week begins the celebration of the event that is the key to the plan of Salvation, but without Christ, it truly is meaningless. I hope we will all try to more fully use Him and His teachings in our lives, especially this Easter.

Have a wonderful week.

Hey everyone!

Get conference session am I right? The best thing about working in the office is that Pday is Saturday and I can give an almost live review of general conference. 10/10.
Want to hear a cool mission story?
This week I was filling out a huge spreadsheet on excel..... and the power went out. I was less than happy. Anyway so we went through the health closet and found Christmas presents! We found a two year old expired chocolate bar. It didn´t taste expired. However there were some lifesavers that were reeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllyyyy old. they were 100% soft.

this week in scripture reading I read Mosiah 2:24. It says that when we keep God´s commandments he blesses us, and we are indebted to him. King Benjamin also explains that God gives us life and everything, so we are indebted to Him. Basically the message is, we are always indebted to God.

Have a wonderful week everyone.
