I get to write Monday this week because most of the palces here are closed both Christmas and New Year's, abnd we wrtie from a public wifi cafe.
It was great to have the call home. You guys seemed to have a lot of fun and are enjoying the moments you can have away from the eagle project.

It seems movies is the way you guys relax at the end of the day, or is videogames a quick go to?
Are these baptisms for our family or are we using temple names. If they're from our family, I would like to who if possible.

As for me, the only thing I could ask for is this. I know I'm eating my own poor habit of not writing Ian for his requests, but the mission rules just changed for music. It used to just be music off of LDS.org, but now people can have any type of music that doesn't drive away the spirit. So, my request fore the boys is to send me mp3s of music they think I would like out here in the mission. If I think it's inappropriate, I'll delete it, and I'll pass my approvals off to my comp to check too.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else. I still pray for you all, and I hope you guys have a wonderful 2019. I love you!

Well, was church only an hour every sunday the week of Christmas? Everyone says that is an hour only everywhere but I swear that unless it was christmas day we still had 3 hours.
What is your opinion of the new primary structure? My comp likes the new 2 hour stuff and the come follow me program since it mixes the investigators and news with long time converts instead of having gospel principles and doctrine.

I finally had time to write stuff down before my hour at the computer, so here are some stories from the 1st month in Chile.
First, I want to write about some of the great experiences that happen on interchanges. I was able to go to another region of the mission for my first interchange, and some of the weirdest but amazing things happened. One family that we passed by while tracking just straight up invited us in and received most of lesson 1 right then and there. They really liked it, and we gave them a book of mormon. As far as I know, they are progressing well and might be the first baptism for the new year in the sector. You can really tell that some people are chosen and prepared by god to receive the gospel.
Our first baptism, Juan, also got to recently go to the temple to baptize members of his family. You could tell that he was nervous but loved the experience at the same time.
And now, for a funny experience when my companion nearly got run over by an ambulance. One of our investigator's jobs is to make sure that a hospital garage is not broken into at night. He actually gets to drive ambualnces even without a license. One day, the garage door busted open while me and Elder Lewis were nearby.
So, we helped him take off the door to put it back on the rail it busted off of. Then, an ambulance in neutral just comes out and stops in the middle of the street. It nearly ran my comp over. So, we put the door back on, open it, and drive the ambulance to the other side to the street. But, as it turns out, our investigator doesn{t even know how to put cars in reverse. So, he put it in neutral and had us push the ambualnce back into traffic. Then, he guns the car back into the garage and busts the mirror on the door, so we had to fix the door AGAIN. But, in the end everything worked out, so it was great.

For my time in the temple, I got to go today, and that was nice. They scooted me and 3 other elders into a sealing room for sealings, and learning it first in spanish was kind of weird. The dude saying the ordianance was also speaking really fast, so much so I only really waited for him to breathe and say amen. Since I'm a missionary I can only be the kids in the sealing ordinances. Family history is something I feel like I'm really going to get into when I get back.

That is a real tender mercy from the lord for you and Aiden. He certainly is one of the most blessed people in the world this week to have the company just donate the brick for his eagle project.

Elder Lewis is really great as a trainer. He knew you 2 moms would talk. We had a good laugh about it all.

Overall, I can't really say I've ever had a bad time here in the mission. As long as I focus on the blessings the Lord has given me, I don't really need to worry about anything else.

Finally, some questions. First, I swear that in seminary I had watched a christmas movie about an old lady that went to the Mormon Tabernacle choir every year, and also organized a christmas pageant. It's super cheesy, but I can't remember the name of it. Can you figure it out? No one else in the mission has heard of it but I KNOW it exists.

Oh, I sent a photo of wendy's. That's because they have one nearby my house. Guess what's getting business every Pday?

That's all for now, I can't really think of any more to write other than I know God loves you all, and he is always with you even in hard times. Also, watch Mr. Kruger's Christmas. It's the only christmas film we have in the field and it is amazing.

Yup, I'm already in Chile. 2nd or 3rd week here now.
For my thanksgiving I had cold meat, some Coca cola, and canned peaches, so not as nice as yours. But, It was nice to read the thanksgivign gift you gave me. I still have yet to open any of the Christmas presents, so I'll be able to give thanks in person during the call.
A person working for family history came ot our sacrament meeting. She is there in Chile to see how to make sure that the new family history programs will properly work in all of the world, not just in the USA.  She took this photo.
My ward is the Carri'on ward in the independencia stake, near the bottom of our mission. The biggest nearby roads are Independencia and Domingo Sant a Maria (yes, that's a road name)
As for me, I haven't been bit by a dog yet, though in the area north of me there are suppoesedly tons of dogs, so I'm expecting that at some point. I've already given 3 dates and we have a baptism this week. Teaching haitians and peruvians a lot. One was from Ica (Ian's oasis city), though she's been here for 13 years. My comp nearly gotrun over by an ambulance and I'm learnign all the funny stories of some of the members here.
I have a lot of things to write in my daily journal (which I actually wirte in every day), but I can't think of them right now. Maybe I'll bring it with me to the internet cafe where I right y'all next time.
I love you all and can't wait to hear from you again. After all, Christmas isn't that far away, and It's on my pday too!
